Big Colour Workshop

During the holidays I ran two Big Colour Workshops for little ones around 3 to 5 years at Salisbury Art Centre. Beginning with a storybook, 'Mouse paint' we chatted about colour exploring the room where the windows were covered with big blocks of colour. Then a free reign to have fun in an exciting environment. A clear plastic wigwam was decorated in and out, the floor covered in paper made a good spot for welly prints and for the really curious, a blacked out wigwam with torches and coloured perspex squares made a good place to hide. Hats of clear plastic were soon swamped in colour and by the end of the workshop, like in the 'Mouse paint' book, not a spot of white remained. A lot of fun and a lot of clearing up!
