Schools Artshop Exhibition in Salisbury

Artshop is a biennial exhibition held in shop windows around Salisbury with sixteen or more schools involved in displaying their work to the general public.
The children in years 3 and 4 at Winterslow Primary School have been working in a variety of materials and media to reflect the theme of Suzettes Pancake Shop. With pancakes of paper, card, tissue and cloth, the children have stitched, glued, moulded, dyed and painted their artworks.
Just as p
ancakes are hand made, cooked and presented on a plate for the pleasure of the customer so the children present their work for visual consumption.
With photos interspersed of the children making real pancakes and making their artwork, the finished piece is full of poems and written memories of their experiences and love of this special food.
