Hopes for the Future

This artwork was created by the Y6 leaving class at a Wiltshire Primary school. Using silk dyes and transfered images, the children added their hopes and dreams for the future. The work now sits in pride of place at the entrance of the school, a really nice way to remember them.

Halibut Jackson Suits

For this project we read the wonderful story of Halibut Jackson by David Lucas, a shy little man who made camouflage suits so that he could merge into the background and never be noticed. The children at a local arts centre took photos of different 'backgrounds' and then made and painted an outfit and hats (not shown) to merge in with the textures and colours. They did a fantastic job of mixing colours - just take a look!
